Windrose doesn't have admin commands, but here's how to customize a Windrose dedicated server

Pirate survival game Windrose is crying out for a dedicated server if you plan to set sail for a lengthy voyage—especially if you plan to do so with friends. If you want to build the pirate fortress of your dreams, deck out your ship and make your way through the game's sprawling skill tree, you'll want a 24/7 world that your friends can hop in and out of whenever they like. That means installing a dedicated server, and using Windrose's admin commands to configure it to your liking. Or, er, it would, if Windrose's server tools actually supported admin commands as you'd expect. As of the early access launch, it doesn't, meaning you're pretty limited in how you can configure a custom server. There are no Windrose admin commands right now . So what can you do with a Windrose dedicated server? Here's a quick overview of what's possible to configure if you want to host a Windrose world yourself. Legendary JRPG studio's 23-year shun of the PC has ended: the next Vanillaware game will come to Steam

Muramasa: Revenant Blades is the newly announced action RPG from Vanillaware, a highly respected Japanese studio founded in 2002 and terminally aloof to the existence of personal computers. Until now: a revamped version of 2009's Muramasa: The Demon Blade was announced at today's Nintendo Direct. Initially a Wii exclusive, it'll hit Steam in 2027. If you happened to watch the Nintendo Direct I wouldn't blame you for tuning out when Vanillaware's logo appeared on the screen: this studio has never released a game on PC despite almost all of their games being critically acclaimed and beloved by droves. Its most recent game, Unicorn Overlord, was a lavishly illustrated tactical RPG, while the one before that, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, was essentially an RTS. Both would have benefited from mouse and keyboard treatment but, alas, are stuck on PlayStation and Nintendo consoles. As go...

Mewgenics sells 1 million copies in just 1 week, far more than its creators expected: 'We both got a bit blindsided by this'

That sure didn't take long: Just one week after release, the bizarre cat-breeding simulator Mewgenics has surpassed one million copies sold. Word of the major milestone came from Mewgenics co-creator Tyler Glaiel on X , who posted a simple, to-the-point message that was apparently created by fan artist Whom : (Image credit: Tyler Glaiel (Twitter)) The message was later retweeted by Mewgenics' other co-creator, Edmund McMillen. "Some fun stats," Glaiel wrote in a follow-up post . "Mew had ~400k wishlists before reviews came out. Shot up to ~600k after reviews / before release. For those saying its success was expected based on pedigree, week 1 sales for games are usually a fraction of wishlists. So we both got a bit blindsided by this haha. "I am very glad you all enjoy it." Players do indeed seem to enjoy it. Despite some controversy surrounding some of the Mewgenics voice cast , the game has put up enviable concurrent player numbers on St...
